  Hi my name is Omar Mahmoud and I am in 9th grade and my opinion of this school is that to be honest if Mr. Mcfee was still the principal of this school, things would not be so bad after all but NO apparently Ms. Mayra is the new principal of this school making HMMS one of the worst if not the worst middle school in Lee County. Ever since Ms. Mayra decided to be the principal of this school, the majority of the staff members are rude unprofessional, and overall annoying due to the majority of the students in this school playing around and not taking their work in this school seriously. Also ever since Ms. Mayra decided to be the principal of this school, the overall school grade kept on falling and falling and more students are failing classes. Apparently ever since Ms. Mayra decided to move to this school, some staff members are not even trying to control the bad students and there are a lot of bad students at HMMS. One last thing, the dismissal process is HORRIBLE. Now why would I say this? The staff members are coming at the students and telling the students to get out as if the school was burning. Also considering that the order dismissal is 3rd floor first, 2nd floor second, and 1st floor last, it is really dumb and wasting a lot of time and to be honest us students just want to leave after a tough day at this school. Ms. Mayra if you want us students to be in class after 3 minutes well let me tell you these words loud and clear so you could get that through that thick skull of yours , there is NO WAY THAT US STUDENTS ARE GETTING TO CLASS AFTER 3 MINUTES! Do you ever think about the stacking and pileups in the hallway between students and staff members and also do you know what the students in the second building are going though getting to their class?! How come this school is still open when the overall school grade was a D, and I know that this school went from a F to a C in one year which is great but then again the school went up from a F to a C since Mr. Mcfee was the principal and the school grade was a C from 2013-2016 which isn't bad but HMMS could be better than that because how is maintaining a C for 3 years is going to make any parents or students think that this is a good school? How come every student every day gain knowledge when there is a terrible learning environment, and really unreasonable things to achieve such as AR or A.L.E.K.S topics and knowledge checks? I know that both AR and A.L.E.K.S are helping students with reaching their academic standards but some staff members make it such a big deal for students not meeting their AR goal or 20 A.L.E.K.S topics for the week. In my opinion this is the worst middle school for anyone to go to. If only Mr. Mcfee was still the principal of this school then no annoying, rude, and overall unprofessional staff members would be hired to work at this school to ruin all 1,100 student's lives and I am not saying that all staff members are bad but for those staff members you know who you are don't pretend like you don't know. Last but not least parents please do not send any of your students to this school because I have been here for 3 years now considering that I am in 9th grade done with this school. This in my opinion is one of the most poorly rated middle schools in Lee County. Going to this middle school is like going to prison because most of the students and staff members are rude, annoying, and unprofessional. I am so glad that I am 9th grade so that I could leave this dumb, ghetto, and rude middle school. I do not recommend this school this is to be honest the worst school in Lee County in my opinion.
